IP speakers can be configured to provide a stand alone public address system. Alternatively the speakers can be configured to register with an IP telephony application, the public address functionality then becomes an extension to the telephony application.

Installing a speaker is a simple task. Each speaker leaves the factory with a default IP address. Simply connect the speaker to the network and assign an IP address (either static or via DHCP). Once on the network, configure the speaker with a standard web browser

Deploy an audio PA system over a pure IP Network with IP Speakers and make paging announcements via an IP Telephone system or PC.

The IP Speaker offers interoperability between Asterisk,Cisco Call Manager and SIP based PBX's for Audio announcements using G.711 audio, and the ability to ‘pipe’ background music from a multicast audio source at MP3 quality.

By utilising Power over Ethernet, the speaker is easy to deploy and manage. Features such as mute and volume are controlled via software.
